INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
ECM-98T:
- Remove old mechanical totalizer and file out coin slot in face plate so the new Golden Dollar will go through freely. File face plate coin slot downward by about 1/8”. Check to see that Golden Coin goes through freely.
- Check to see that paper access door Opens and Closes FREELY. There must be no binding of door, metal rubbing or door warpage to prevent the door from closing fully.
Correct any such problems before installation of ECM-98T.
- Install ECM-98T in same manner as old mechanical totalizer.
- IF REQUIRED, adjust Door Tongue so that it only contacts Impact Plate of coin mechanism in white area as shown in photo below.
- Make sure that when door is fully closed, the Door Tongue contacts Reset Arm causing it to move in a clockwise rotation about 1/8” as shown in photo below.
- Use Service Token to set vend price to Daily Price and then insert the correct coinage to operate mechanism. Check that door opens at the correct price, opens freely and latches closed when door is closed.
ECM-9800:
- Remove old Stacker Mechanism
- Remove old Daily/Sunday change-over lock
- Remove old Door Hook and Coin return Chute
- Check to see that paper access door Opens and Closes FREELY. There must be no binding of door, metal rubbing or door warpage to prevent the door from closing fully.
Correct any such problems before installation of ECM-9800
- Install LED Indicator as shown in photo below
- Install Coin Return Chute & Mounting, using 6-32 Screw, Washer and Lock Nut provided in the manner shown on the following photo:
- Next, install New ECM-9800 in same manner as done with old stacker mechanism. Note that because of the more rigid Stainless Steel frame of the ECM-9800, only the stud visible in photo below is used to hold mechanism in place. The mounting stud hidden in front of Escrow Compartment is not used.
- Finally, connect LED indicator to ECM.
- Use Service Token to set vend price to Daily Price and then insert the correct coinage to operate mechanism. Check that door opens at the correct price, opens freely and latches closed when door is closed.
