ECM-9800 Electronic Coin Mechanism

Sheet Metal, Fasteners and Springs made of STAINLESS STEEL

Our experience in Electronic Coin Mechanism repairs over the last 8 years has shown us that USE OF REGULAR STEEL, WHETHER PLATED OR PAINTED, WILL RUST AND CORRODE OVER TIME. That time period can be as short as a year if the Mechanism is being used in a location having a great deal of moisture. While rust and corrosion is very unattractive, the main problem is that it can effect the operation of the Coin Mechanism.

The above problem of rust and corrosion requires the unit to be completely refurbished on a regular basis OR the Mechanism will require repairs more often. Either way, it is a cost factor that becomes significant over the years, both in labor repairs and loss of sales due to inoperative mechanisms.

By using STAINLESS STEEL for sheet metal parts*, fasteners and springs, an The STAINLESS STEEL PARTS WILL NEVER RUST OR CORRODE.

ANOTHER MAJOR BENEFIT OF USING STAINLESS STEEL is that future Electronic Upgrades (which based on the rapid evolution of electronics is inevitable) can be incorporated within the current ECM frame structure at a fraction of the cost of a completely new unit. See COMPANY HISTORY for more information on this.

*Only the hold down is made of REGULAR STEEL so that the RECALIBRATION MAGNET can be held to same during the RECALIBRATION process. The hold down has no effect on the operation of the ECM-9800 and is easy and inexpensive to replace when needed.
