ECM-98T & ECM-9800 Electronic Coin Mechanism
Accepts new Golden Dollar, S.B.
Anthony Dollar, Quarters, Nickels & Dimes.
Both ECM’s accept United States Nickels, Dimes, Quarters, Susan B. Anthony and Gold Dollars. They will also accept a Service Token and Daily Promotional Token. They will reject Canadian, Mexican and all foreign coins having any ferrous content.
When used in Canada we program the ECM’s to accept both U.S. and Canadian coins at the same value as U.S. equivalent coins. The Service Token and Daily Promotional Tokens are also standard. If it should be desirable to accept Canadian Coins at some lower value reflecting the current exchange ratio, this can be done in software.
For use in foreign countries where some coins may be ferrous and some may be non-ferrous, the ECM’s can be programmed to accommodate this coin variance.
In the U.S. and Canada the ECM’s are programmed in increments of 5 cents (common denominator). For other countries we have the option of using whatever common denominator is best suited. For foreign applications, please contact us for more details or send sample coins for us to evaluate.
